As the Executive Director of AAUW, I am honored to join University President, Dr. Rivka Carmi, of Ben Gurion University of Be’er Sheva, (the first female university president in Israel,) as leaders of the AAUW Women in Society Delegation to Israel. Dr. Rivka Carmi and I invite you to join the AAUW sponsored delegation to Israel this October.   In cooperation with NGOs throughout Israel, this delegation has been developed to foster one-on-one dialogue with leading political and professional women. This delegation will convene in Tel Aviv on October 4, 2010. In your role as a team member of the AAUW Women in Society Delegation, your will represent our organization, your institution and professional women throughout the United States.

Our delegation will depart for Tel Aviv, Israel on October, 3rd, 2010, returning to the United States on October 11, 2010. We will meet with our counterparts, participate in intimate dialogue, social events and experience the rich culture of Israel during our eight day program. We will visit Tel Aviv, Haifa, Tiberias, and Jerusalem.

This AAUW project is a private-citizen effort, thus team members are responsible for their own program costs. The estimated cost per team member is $ 5,395USD. This cost includes group transportation, meetings and cultural activities, accommodations, most meals, and essentially all other costs associated with participation, as outlined in the attached schedule of activities. . International air can be included for an additional $1,100 USD (departing from and returning to New York, NY.)
